Hi, I’m Scraps, aka Jennifer. Do you know how many Jennifer’s there are out and about? I had 3 others in my third-grade class alone! And, as you’ll see, there’s another Jen in the cast  so it’s just easier for me to go by a pseudonym to help keep things straight. Anyway, this strip is about me, my family, friends, coworkers and occasional strangers that make life so very interesting in random ways. You’ll see me around a lot.

This, however, is Jen, my partner in crime and good friend. She and I, despite sharing a moniker, are actually rather different in terms of personality, style and most other things but we’re alike enough where it counts and compliment each other well (and often! love the ego boosts!). We only met a few short years ago but most of the time it feels like longer. 

Would you believe I work with my mother? Well, I do, and since I see her 5 days a week and some weekends (I think I do laundry at home more now than I ever did in my poor college years!) she shows up quite a bit here in the strips. If you’ve ever seen the now-finished show “Gilmore Girls”, we’re not exactly _that_ close, but we get along well–much better than when we actually shared a home. Those teenage years can be brutal. Mom (aka Sheila) did a pretty kick-ass job of raising my brothers and I pretty much on her own and is considered to be very awesome by my friends. 

Jason and Kara, well, I always feel sorta bad lumping them together like this but they’ve been together for years so it sorta works. Jason is my baby brother and Kara is his long-term, live-in girlfriend. They work and go to school, respectively, so usually only show up around holidays and vacations, but we all get along fairly well. Kara is more quiet around us than Jason is, so don’t be surprised if she’s there but not talking.
